Alex Godoy’s mother Aurora was one of 14 victims who lost their lives in the San Bernardino terrorist attack on December 2, 2015. James Godoy lost his wife and sweetheart of more than 12 years and was left to care for 22 month old Alex. Aurora was just 26 years old. A loving and devoted mother, Aurora was the youngest victim of the mass shooting that shook the nation.

On May 1, 2016, Dr. Otto Lee, President of Los Angeles Harbor College presented James Godoy with his late wife’s Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences. Aurora Godoy was just two classes shy of earning her degree at Harbor College when she tragically lost her life.

The Foundation for the Los Angeles Community Colleges created a college scholarship fund for Alex Godoy's education. Please join us by making a contribution today.
