Operation Connect! logo
During this time of crisis, we’re working to connect community college students by providing entry-level laptops.

Many LACCD students read or write assignments or take class notes on their phones. By providing a basic laptop, we help them connect to online learning, find information about healthcare and other resources and , most important, maintain contact with the world while at home. /div>

We are working with a unique non-profit to solve this problem.   More than 150,000 computers are disposed of every day in the U.S.

human-I-T is a non-profit organization that brings together these two problems to create one solution. They take unwanted laptops, upgrade the software and refurbish them.

Our partnership with human-I-T allowed us to provide 4,270 refurbished laptops to the LA College Promise Students last year at the low cost of just $90 each.
We are expanding  this program to students across all nine LACCD Colleges - City-East-Harbor-Mission-Pierce-TradeTech-Southwest-Valley-West.
