A Message From William Gerald Anunciacion

Hi, I’m at currently a freshman at my local community college of Los Angeles Harbor. I have been running the LA marathon since my Sophomore year in High School through the Student Run LA program. Training for the LA marathon and then running it each year for three consecutive times now, have helped me acquire perseverance and also experienced what it’s like to have diversity that has one unifying theme; whether you’re old, young, slow, fast. It doesn’t matter when we all have the same goal in mind. No matter how tired you are, knowing that there’s always someone running in-front and at the back at all times, who can catch you when you fall - creates a wonderful sense of community. I wish to run it again this year under a different banner. Previously, it was for the students. Today, it will be a run as a tribute for the homeless. I hope that by running the marathon this year, the homeless problem of not just LA but also nationwide gets to be taken more seriously by more people who can help with the cause! Thank you again for listening to our cause :D
